Ammonite Cleoniceras sp. (am10)

Found in Cretatceous deposits in the north east coast of Madagascar, about 120 million years old. The ammonite has been polishd revealing the intricate suture patterns in this species shell and showing off to full advantage the calcite forming the fossil. Measuring 122mm across its widest part the specimen weighs 400gms . A exceptionally beautiful fossil.
